About The Book
If I May
Our body is like a vehicle that needs to be tended to, but most importantly, you need to know how to drive it and use it. The journey is impossible for the body without integrating our mind and soul. Learning how to drive the vehicle also contains things such as learning positive perspectives, how to take care of your health, awareness of what you are feeling in your body and of your emotions, differentiating between our desires and our needs to the needs and expectations of others.
Having the proper point of view toward life and different situations is crucial for expanding, growing, and feeling healthy in this lifetime. Remember, we don’t respond to what happens. We respond to our perception or interpretation of what happens. Once you accept that there is room for improvement, you welcome the means with open arms. Learning how to live, handle your emotions, treat and respect your body, take part in a community as part of a whole, see situations from a general point of view, find your purpose, and choose your path can enhance your experience and life.
Envision being told that you have one hour to live. You would look back and maybe think of things you missed or could’ve handled differently. You’d see the insignificance of so many things you’ve put as your main point of focus. You may even wish you had accentuated your pure intentions. Why wait for that moment? Pause, look, understand where you are blocking yourself, and gift yourself the opportunity to be the best version of yourself now.
Treat your mind, body, and soul right for a happy and successful life. Allow satisfaction to grow in your heart, listen to your inner voice, and understand the different patterns of thought and fixations that cause you to sell yourselves short. When we become conscious of ourselves and awaken our true self, we stop the snowball and allow the life, passion, love, and excitement we deserve to come our way.
Many adults, young adults, and children today feel lost in certain areas of their lives. Most education systems fail to keep up with the ever-evolving world. There is a more substantial need to teach independence, inner strength, self-confidence, self-acceptance, resilience, and a way to take care of oneself. The methods don’t necessarily need to be drastic. One can learn to be a better version of themselves in the comfort of their home, just by being aware or conscious of themselves and by putting a little bit more attention on what it is they require right now. It can be nutrition, a breath of fresh air, or some quiet time.
Understanding the influence of choice that we have, at all times, at every moment, is essential and empowering. Knowing that even in situations that are not in our control, there is still a window of choice, a choice of how to go through your day, deal with situations, look at things, and analyze them, setting our priorities properly, so they serve us. Without poverty, there would not be wealth, and without falling, we would never know the empowerment in getting back up.
On this journey, you will begin to learn how to find your inner strength and realize that you are your best resource. You will learn to recognize your intuition and understand your preferences, how to do and discover things, and your purpose. This journey leads to success through realizing and becoming conscious of new (or very old) views to incorporate into your life.
